Começou no RN o workshop internacional sobre a vida de Galileu

Com saudação da reitora da UFRN Ângela Maria Paiva Cruz e conferência do professor Alberto Righini sobre a vida de Galileu Galilei, foi aberto no salão de eventos do Ocean Palace, o workshop internacional “400 Years of Stellar Rotation”, que prossegue até terça, reunindo cientistas, físicos, astrofísicos e integrantes de projetos espaciais de todo o planeta.
 
Segundo o coordenador científico do evento, professor da UFRN José Renan de Medeiros, além de aspectos importantes dos enunciados de Galileu Galileu, os integrantes do evento vão discutir os resultados até agora obtidos em projetos espaciais como CoRot, Kepler e outros.
 
O evento é uma iniciativa do European Southern Observatory e do Instituto Internacional de Física, da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, tendo em sua coordenação científica o professor José Renan de Medeiros e na coordenação do comitê organizador a Dra. Sânzia Alves.
